CREAMY VEGAN NACHO CHEESE

Slather it on nachos, use as a dip, or pour it straight into your mouth

ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cashews

  • 1 small garlic clove

  • 1 cup plant milk

  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast

  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes

  • 1/4 tsp paprika

  • Juice of 1/2 a lemon

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • Pinch of pepper

  • Some chopped jalapeños for topping

 

method

  1. Soak the nuts in boiling water for an hour.

  2. Drain and rinse the nuts, then add to a blender with the rest of the ingredients.

  3. Blend until smooth and saucy, and top with the jalapeños.

  4. Eat hot, or leave to cool!

  • Again, adjust the amounts of spice, and milk, depending on the flavour and consistency you like
