Apple Crumble Baked Oats

Prepare ahead of time and bake your oats with some local and seasonal fruit to make delicious vegan baked oats. Plus it’s insanely cheap!

prep time 5 minutes total time 45-50 mins serves 4-6


ingredients

  • 2 cups (~145g) oats (£0.15)

  • 3 cups (~710ml) plant milk (£0.45)

  • 2 apples (£0.70)

  • 1-2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

  • Pinch of salt

 

method

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180°C/350°F

  2. Chop up the apple and mix in a baking tray with all the other ingredients.

  3. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the top is golden brown and firm.

  4. Serve the vegan baked oats warm by itself, or with a dash of milk, dollop of peanut butter and/or drizzle of maple syrup.


notes

  • This dish is super affordable, at only £1.30 for the whole dish and only £0.26 per serving.

  • It’s also the perfect meal to prepare ahead of the week, so you have breakfast for the next few days. It also works great as a mid afternoon snack or pudding in the evening as it resembles apple crumble so much!
